A SAVIOUR : Dr Mallika Tripathi

A SAVIOUR

Dr Mallika Tripathi

My heart aches at the sight of suffering souls;
At times a strange helplessness overwhelms me.
Within my chest a quiet hemorrhage of empathy flows
As the theatre of power and politics performs its ruthless script.

I watch, almost bewildered,
How money rules, How innocence is crushed,
How fragile lives are extinguished like forgotten candles,
While masked demons celebrate behind curtains of hypocrisy.

For a moment despair attempts to conquer my spirit,
Yet surrender is a language my soul has never learned.
Within me lives a strange and sacred inheritance,
A relentless will to protect the fading light of humanity,
A saviour.

I have walked through battlefields of broken hopes,
Seen dreams burn and people dissolve into dust,
Yet faith in goodness stands within me like an unshaken pillar.

For a heart that beats with purity and selfless courage
Is a force no darkness can permanently eclipse.
And deep within my certainty echoes a timeless truth:
Evil may roar for a while
But it is goodness that is destined to emerge victorious.
