Eternal Love 

Zulfiqar Naqvi 

This is but your love that keeps me alive,

And knowing you are loved helps you thrive.

Though I grow weary of the burden I bear,

Its constant company breeds no despair.

I worship the rising Sun above—

What else could make me run with such love?

Before I sleep, I kiss the lines of my palm,

Guarding the treasure of my dreams in calm.

I fly to the courtyard of your enlivening thought;

Else by a deadly hand I would have been caught.
