He is Mohammad Salim Khan, known by the nom de plume Salim Salik. With a Master's degree and M.Phil. in Urdu from Kashmir University, along with NET certification, he brings both academic strength and real-world experience to his craft.
Currently, he is the Editor of the Urdu Section of Sheeraza Journal published by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, where he has shaped over a hundred issues, leaving a lasting impact on Kashmir's literary scene. But he is not just an editor; he is also a founding member of the Fiction Writers Guild and has meticulously crafted over two hundred columns spotlighting various literary personalities, all under the auspices of the JK Fiction Writers Guild. 
In his academic journey, he pursued an M.Phil in Urdu, titled Urdu Ke Zarb ul Misal Ash'aar, Aik Tahqiqi Jaiza" focusing on Urdu poetry under the guidance of Dr. Fareed Parbati. His publications range from insightful columns to engaging compilations, showcasing his diverse talents as an author and editor.

Among Salim Salik's notable publications Fareed Parbati: Shaayar,Shaoor aur Sheriyat a scholarly discourse delving into the realms of poetry, and "Urdu Afsana: Mizaaj wa Minhaj," which explores the art of storytelling. Moreover, his columns in "Kitab Dareech" and "Sareeri Khama" are a compilation of literary columns that were first published in newspapers and subsequently compiled into book form. It includes discussions on various literary genres and anecdotes related to numerous writers and poets, enriching the literary sensibilities of readers.
